Why Run Facebook Ads

I wrote several posts about working with Facebook, now Meta Ads, and realized that I mostly write about the difficulties.

Meta Ads and Facebook logos over dollar bills

I should also explain why it is worth working with Facebook:

  1. You can start advertising in a few hours, including ad approval time. Registration is simple, payment is by credit card or PayPal. What else do you need for a good life?
  2. You can get a very, very, very large amount of traffic. Hundreds of millions of users sit on their asses in their accounts. In the US, and elsewhere depending on the country, you can get enormous volumes within minutes.
  3. You can get very, very, very cheap traffic. If you manage to squeeze CTR to around 1%, clicks can cost one cent or less in practically any country and demographic target.
  4. There are no Quality Score roadblocks; everything depends on CTR, meaning your ability to write ads and choose targeting correctly. QS, or Quality Score, is a Google Ads metric that affects cost per click and combines several factors, such as how relevant the ad is to the content.
  5. Finally, there are enormous targeting options, especially demographics and interests. If you know the age and gender of the audience that brings leads, half the job is done.
