What is a target page, also known as a landing page or simply a landing, and how is it different from an ordinary website?
It is very simple:
- An ordinary website, even one with very good exits to target pages: https://www.tcsbank.ru
- A target page: https://www.tcsbank.ru/credit/form/
The main goal of a landing page is to get the user to perform one very specific action: fill out an application, register, enter payment details, or pay for a purchase.
For a media buyer, landing pages, both your own and the offer’s, directly affect conversion and therefore profit. In most cases you cannot control the offer’s landing page, but in those same cases you usually do not need to. You can control a prelander, your own landing page, or the page the user sees before the offer. To avoid confusion below, “landing page” or “prelander” means your page, while the offer landing page means exactly that: the offer’s landing page.
Target pages come in different forms:
Full-page sales landers, the long-scroll monsters. They are usually used for information products and healthcare offers.
